Passenger lifts and goods lifts, stair lifts, disability access and wheelchair lifts, service lifts / dumb waiters, pressurised heating systems

Properties

Residential properties, commercial buildings, factories, warehouses, offices, care homes and many other premises.

Why inspect?

The Health and Safety at Work Act, Section 4 applies to owners and managers of buildings in which there are lifts and it outlines a responsibility for ensuring the continual safe use of these lifts.
Lift maintenance is required by PUWER, but a thorough lift examination is required by LOLER.
We are an independent engineering inspection services company enabling managing agents to keep residents, employees, suppliers and visitors safe and meet statutory obligations.

Passenger lifts and goods lifts

The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) requires six-monthly examination of passenger lifts* and annual inspections of other lifts including goods and service lifts. As well as advising you on exactly what needs to be examined and when, we’ll notify you when inspections are due to ensure that you fulfil your statutory obligations.

Pressurised heating systems

The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) require a Written Scheme of Examination to be drawn up for relevant pressurised heating systems and for independent and thorough examinations to be carried out. Other pressurised heating systems are governed by the inspections requirements within the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
